Banana Chips can be fried or dried.  Fried Banana Chips need to be made from under-ripe bananas or they become too oily.  Dried Banana Chips are ideally made with fully ripe bananas giving them a very sweet and intense banana flavor.  The banana plant is native to Maritime Southeast Asia.  We generally see banana chips used as pert of nut and fruit mixes.
